What is STOTT Pilates?

STOTT Pilates is a contemporary approach to the original Pilates method, emphasizing the natural curvature of the spine and a balanced muscular approach. Developed by Moira Merrithew and Lindsay G. Merrithew, STOTT Pilates incorporates modern principles of exercise science and rehabilitation, making it a safe and effective method for all fitness levels.

Introduction to STOTT Pilates:

  • Understanding the Reformer equipment and its benefits.

Core Conditioning:

  • Exercises focused on strengthening the deep abdominal muscles.

  • Techniques to improve core stability and control.

Upper Body Strengthening:

  • Targeted exercises for the arms, shoulders, and upper back.

  • Enhancing posture and upper body alignment.

Lower Body Sculpting:

  • Reformer exercises to tone and strengthen the legs and glutes.

  • Improving lower body flexibility and stability.

Full-Body Integration:

REFORMER BEGINNER SERIES

The Reformer Beginner Series is the perfect introduction to Pilates using the Reformer machine.

 

Designed for those new to Pilates or looking to build a strong foundation, this small group class (maximum of 4 participants) provides personalized instruction in a supportive and welcoming environment. In this series, you will:

  • Learn how to safely and effectively use the Reformer machine.

  • Develop core strength, flexibility, and body awareness.

  • Master fundamental Pilates exercises with proper form and alignment.

  • Build confidence to progress to more advanced classes.

 

With small class sizes capped at just 4 people, you’ll receive individualized attention tailored to your needs, ensuring a safe and effective start to your Pilates journey.
